Basically, I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread where you can post really short pieces of prose. That means that you don't have to spend hours writing a complex story or poem to contribute to this part of the site. For those that don't know, flash (or "sudden") fiction is a type of prose that involves delivering a story in a short amount of space, which can be anywhere from half a dozen sentences to half a dozen paragraphs with some room for interpretation on either side. So if you've got a story to share and not much time, if you want to try a new writing style or if you just want to hone your writing skills, then make your presence known.

To start off, here's a story I wrote... about a week ago. It's a bit of a "wtf" kind of deal, so... yeah.

"No Butts About It"

Once upon a time, there was a man troubled with the vices of nicotine. For the fear of getting cancer and dying at an early age, he made the decision to quit smoking. However, he found this to be quite a task.

So then, he decided that, in order to help him beat his addiction, every time he had the desire to smoke a cigarette, he'd stick one of his cigarettes up his bum.

Well, after some time, his idea seemed to be working, and he finally beat his smoking addiction. Shortly after, he got prostate cancer and died.

I made a pun off of the title of this thread.

"Flash Fiction"

Two hitmen head into an apartment, one of the hitmen EATS THE PEOPLES BURGERS AND SPRITE. By the people I mean the three guards. For the briefcase.

The hitman that ate some of their food, was just intimidating them with a condescending voice, as he seemingly made smalltalk with one of the men about their breakfast of fast food. He made this small talk in a violent tone though.

Eventually he asked where the briefcase was and they told him, they got it out and opened it up. A gold glow emitted from the briefcase.
Inside was FLASH CS4 HENCE THE TITLE

The end

Oh and then they asked this guy if some guy was a bitch then they shot him.
