Anyways, I decided it might be a good idea to create a thread for anyone who enjoys metal, to share bands, recommend bands based on taste, etc, etc. I've been into metal since grade 7-8-ish, but it started out bad. I go through stages of what metal I like, I used to be huge into death metal, nu-metal.

Right now I am into the stoner/post/progressive/sludge. Some of my favorite bands currently are:

When I first started listening to metal, it was all about Pantera, Metallica, and Nirvana. I was 5 or 6 years old. Eventually it turned into me really liking Static-X and Mudvayne, and the list just got heavier from there. Cradle of Filth? I love that band, but they're almost not heavy enough D:

I'm recently getting more into the death metal shit; blast beats, crazy time signatures and gutteral vocals. It's good stuff, but of course I still like to go back and listen to the shit that got me into what I'm down with now.
